Your driver will pick you up at the hotel lobby to start this exotic nature hike. After a 15 minute drive, the group will arrive at the restaurant and entrance to the Arenal Hanging Bridges Park. Meet your professional guide and start the hike in the rainforest, with spectacular views of the majestic Arenal Volcano.
An experienced guide will lead this extraordinary hike in the tropical rainforest. You will take a 3 kilometer trek passing over 15 bridges ranging between 5 and 100 meters long and up to 60 meters in height. You will have a bird's eye view of the forest floor below where you can see countless species of plants, insects, reptiles, birds, and mammals. The park is designed specifically to enable visitors to view the forest from three perspectives: the floor level, the mid section and over the tree tops. The vegetation and animal life are noticeably different in all levels, and this particular hike will allow you to understand these differences.
You will also be treated to unrivaled vistas of the Arenal Volcano over the river and waterfall. Throughout the hike, your guide will discuss the history of the region and rainforest.
This hike is not strenuous, although there are steps and slopes to climb. The speed is relatively slow as the group searches for and looks at the wildlife present along the path. The trip is for anyone who is interested in nature and who prefers a soft adventure tour. |
