Start the tour with a meeting with the staff and guide from the snorkeling company at the pool area of the hotel. You will receive snorkeling gear, including mask and flippers.
The snorkeling trip begins on board a pontoon boat that will take you on a pleasurable ride to a special snorkeling location in the Gulf of Papagayo. The boat ride lasts approximately 25 minutes. Take this time to sunbathe and enjoy the beautiful landscapes of the Guanacaste shoreline. Your professional guide will lead you to the best spots for sighting marine life. Along the way, you may encounter playful spotted, spinner, or bottlenose dolphins swimming alongside the boat.
Jump in the ocean and leisurely start swimming as you follow your guide. Numerous species of fish can be seen in the northwest Pacific Ocean. Eel, manta, rainbow fish, lobster, crab, and saddle horse are just some of the species you may encounter. Soft drinks and fresh fruit will be provided.
No previous snorkeling experience is required, but participants must be good swimmers. While this is not a physically demanding tour, participants should be prepared to deal with underwater currents. |
